Check out ‘Empowering Her Voice: Adolescent Girls Learning Communities’, now on the website! This brochure, useful for anyone interested in EMpower’s Learning Communities in India or working with adolescent girls, offers a deep dive into the EMpower Learning Communities in Mumbai and Delhi. These two incredible groups, comprised of grantee partner organizations, mentors and girls, empower adolescent girls to be leaders in their communities.

These girls and organizations, working together, have made real and important changes. For example, girls in Mumbai successfully advocated to municipal officials for streetlights to be installed on key routes in their neighborhoods, making it safer for girls to attend school with less fear of being harassed along the way.

Through the Adolescent Girls Learning Communities in Mumbai and Delhi to date, a total of: 305 adolescent girls have been empowered as change-agents, 67 mentors helped support the girls’ activities, reaching 3,862 youth participants and 57,189 community members.

Learn more about these important changes and how they did it in the brochure! Empowering Her Voice describes the concept, formation, growth and impact of EMpower’s two Adolescent Girls Learning Communities in India, as well as guidelines for working with adolescent girls.
