Communications and Marketing Manager
This is an exciting time for a dynamic professional to take EMpower’s communications to the next level. Building on amazing ingredients, we are poised for and want to capitalize on more impactful and visible communications to: mobilize funds, share meaningful stories by and about youth as change-makers, and agilely share insights and resources with grantee partner and peer colleagues to build the eco-system of effective youth development.
EMpower, a global philanthropic organization, is dedicated to improving the lives and horizons of marginalized young people ages 10-24 in 15 emerging market countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Russia and Turkey. Through grants and other supports, EMpower partners with over 100 local organizations working to strengthen the education and livelihoods of young people, and to build their resilience, self-confidence and well-being. EMpower has offices in Hong Kong, India (Delhi), Singapore, London and New York, as well as program staff in Istanbul and Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The role is responsible for driving a significant increase in the profile of EMpower’s brand through media relations and marketing strategies, increasing the level and impact of digital engagement, and improving the quality and consistency of our communications to our grantee partners and donors. The job requires someone who is strategic and can lead, yet also has hands-on “roll up sleeves” responsibilities to take EMpower’s communications from good to great. We seek someone who starts every day enthusiastically thinking and executing how to communicate the compelling work EMpower is doing to enable young people to thrive.
