Lisa Withey

Development Manager, HK

Lisa Withey is EMpower's Development Manager in Hong Kong. She is an experienced NGO leader with more than a decade of experience in local and global organisations and an extensive background in fundraising and programme design and delivery. 

Having lived in London and Hong Kong, Lisa has held senior leadership positions focusing on building exceptional teams, delivering high-quality partner stewardship, organising large-scale fundraising events, and optimising team and organisation operations. 

Lisa joined EMpower after working as a Development Director at a grantee partner organisation, The Women’s Foundation Hong Kong. Here, against the backdrop of several challenging years in the city, Lisa and her team launched a series of fully virtual fundraising events, each reaching almost 1,000 attendees online. They also launched an NFT collection with artists Sophia The Robot and Sophia Hotung to raise funds and awareness for the organisation. 

Lisa brings with her a deep drive to support society's most marginalised communities, with a particular focus on gender equity and uplifting women and girls.
