Maria Pia Bravo (Pía) is EMpower's Programme Officer Consultant for Peru. Based in Lima, she works to grow EMpower’s grant-making portfolio in the country, as well as supporting and managing all grantee partners in Peru. 

Pía is a psychologist. Before joining EMpower, she was the executive director of Presente, an NGO dedicated to creating safe work and educational spaces for sexually diverse people. 

She has also worked as a researcher on diversity, gender, and intersectionality and as a specialist in diversity management and safe workspaces. In 2022, she was included in Forbes Peru’s 50 Most Powerful Women list for her work promoting inclusion in the country.
