Chelsey Zhu is the Business Development & Communications Intern, based in Chicago. Chelsey supports EMpower’s U.S.-based development team on projects related to business development, communications, charitable fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship events, and CRM database management.

Chelsey is currently pursuing her MBA degree at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Before joining Booth, Chelsey worked as a Program Manager of Student Recruitment & Global Outreach for the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. Prior to that, Chelsey spent two years with Teach For China in rural China serving as a Teaching Fellow for elementary school students. Chelsey holds a Bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China. She is passionate about education, child welfare, and youth development.
