Tanvi Mishra is the Communications & Influence Manager, at EMpower. She is responsible for leading conceptualisation and production of global communications materials, managing EMpower’s social engagement, and designing social media campaigns for important days such as International Day of the Girl, International Women’s Day, and 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. She is also responsible for conceptualising and leading India and Asia-specific communications.
Prior to joining EMpower, she worked as a Writer and Designer for PUKAR (Partners for Urban Knowledge and Action Research) and as a Research Officer on the adolescent sexuality program for SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education & Health Action) in Mumbai.
In the past, she has also served as the Line Producer on a show for National Geographic Channel and as an Investigative Journalist & Researcher on a current affairs series for the BBC, UK.
Tanvi holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Cardiff University, UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media from Mumbai University, India.
