In Brazil, young people’s access to the labor market is strongly correlated to their level of schooling. However, young people and even children living in poverty often leave school to contribute to household income. Founded in 1996, Projeto Quixote supports at-risk youth from São Paulo to build the necessary life skills and livelihood skills to transition from school and the street to the working world.
