On 25th September, EMpower hosted a Women’s event in New York focused on Advancing Girls’ Futures in India. Leaders and changemakers came together to explore how we can drive progress for young women and girls.
The event featured a dynamic panel with Priya Agrawal, Founder and Director of our partner Antarang Foundation, and Atiya Bose, CEO of our long-term partner Aangan Trust. The panel was moderated by Rekha Nair, EMpower Board Director. Cynthia Steele, EMpower's President and CEO, highlighted how local NGOs, the emerging markets finance sector, and EMpower are collaborating to create opportunities for marginalised young people in India.
This discussion showcased how grantmaking, capacity building, and sector-strengthening are shaping a more equitable future for girls. The conversation was enriched by inspiring contributions from women in finance who are committed to driving change.
