EMpower’s UK Annual Dinner 2024

On 14th November, EMpower hosted its UK Annual Dinner in Support of Youth at the iconic Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This flagship event brought together nearly 400 finance professionals, all committed to empowering marginalised young people across emerging markets.

The evening's success was made possible thanks to the generous support of our Table Hosts, Board of Directors, Matching Group, Leadership Council, and corporate sponsors, including Deutsche Bank Investment Bank, Tradeweb, Barclays Investment Bank, and Amundi.

Attendees were inspired by heartfelt messages from Kunal Shah and Swatee Deepak, EMpower’s Board Co-Chairs; Parvoleta Shtereva, Board Director; Bradley Wickens, UK Co-Founder; and Cynthia Steele, EMpower President & CEO. Byomkesh Mishra, CEO & Co-Founder of our Indian partner Medha, shared a moving story of Reeta, a graduate of their programme, who embodies the transformational power of our work.

We are delighted to announce that the evening exceeded expectations, raising over £2 million! These funds will enable EMpower to support 165 local partners globally, driving impactful programmes that empower young people living at the margins and strengthen their communities.
