Ayara visits EMpower in New York

Diana Katerine from EMpower Colombian grantee partner Fundación Artística y Social La Familia Ayara visited the New York office last week, to update us on the amazing work that Ayara is doing to empower young women in Colombia!

Diana grew up with Ayara from age 14, and Ayara’s programs were a huge part of her life as she successfully completed high school and university. She is now passionately leading the charge as the coordinator of Ayara’s new initiative to teach business skills and connect young women to entrepreneurship opportunities, called “Fresia.” The program, designed and run by women for women, offers a support system and helps participants improve their confidence and gain skills to become economically independent.

Diana’s enthusiasm was contagious, and we can’t wait to hear about the success of Fresia’s programming to help young women pursue their business goals!
