EMpower, a global philanthropic organisation, is dedicated to improving the lives and horizons of marginalised young people ages 10-24 in 15 emerging market countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Turkey. Note : Although the position is advertised with Hong Kong as the location, this position can also be based in Indonesia, Philippines, or Vietnam. This is a full time position and candidates based out side of Hong Kong will be hired via our Employer or Record partner.
The Regional Programme Director, East/Southeast Asia (E/SE) will serve as the lead for all our programmatic work within East/Southeast Asia. They will be responsible for:
Extensive professional experience relevant to strategic thinking; inclusive and participatory leadership and management; planning and budgetary responsibility, overseeing programmatic strategy and execution in a not-for-profit environment. Success in this role requires you to be a strategic thinker and strong planner, inclusive supervision, and team management skills; proven effectiveness at leading efficient and effective processes, well-organised, and proactive.
They will report to the Vice President, Programmes–based in London. They will directly manage at least 2 programme officers based in the region and technical (external) regional consultants.
