Media Concern Initiative
In Nigeria, it is estimated that one in three girls and one in seven boys will be sexually abused before the age of eighteen. Media Concern Initiative (MediaCon) was founded in 2000 to break the silence around sexual violence against women and children. MediaCon provides a combination of prevention and crisis response services including raising awareness via the media, healing tools and referrals, and training of law enforcement and health professionals.
