At the London Grants Meeting on December 4th, 14 grants totalling $641,000 were awarded! EMpower Grants Committee, Board Directors and donors were in attendance, with some participating remotely. Some great questions were raised prompting thoughtful discussion on the proposed grants and their impact on community engagement of the work supporting at-risk youth. It was an important opportunity to celebrate the work of our grantee partners and we are thrilled to continue supporting them through these newly approved grants!
Approved grants were awarded to the following grantee partners: Joint Operations for Social Help (India), CREA (India), Afrikids Ghana (Ghana), Challenging Heights (Ghana), Girls Power Initiative (Nigeria), Waves for Change (South Africa), Amandla EduFootball (South Africa), Doctors to Children (Russian Federation), CEPIA (Brazil), PROMSEX (Peru), Melel Xojobal A.C. (Mexico), FCA (Argentina), Associação ChildrensAid (Brazil) and Roots of Health (Philippines).
Thank you to all EMpower donors for making this support possible!
