Puente named a 2017 Food Organization to Watch

Puente a la Salud Comunitaria was listed as one of Food Tank's 117 Food Organizations to Watch in 2017, which recognizes organizations that work to increase access to healthy and local foods, support farmers' livelihoods and improve the sustainability of the global food system. Puente was recognized for shining a spotlight on the potential for local, diverse markets to boost human health and food access, and for the integration of amaranth, a grain native to Mexico, into local food supply chains.
