Diana Guerrero

Associate Director, Programmes Planning and Operations

Diana Guerrero joined EMpower as Associate Director, Programmes Planning and Operations. She designs, manages and leads end-to-end project management, improving and streamlining programme team planning processes, procedures, and practices. She oversees grantmaking operations and systems, planning, budgeting and workflow alignment to support EMpower with its grantmaking effectiveness.

Diana works closely with the Vice President, Programmes to ensure that all grantmaking and programme-related projects are aligned with our Theory of Change and are rooted in inclusive cutting edge learning and impact approaches.

Prior to joining EMpower, Diana worked at Open Society Foundations as Senior Program Operations Officer where she oversaw all programmatic operations for the Economic Justice Program, assuring good grantmaking practices and budget monitoring.

Diana holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. As well as a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Institute d’Estudis Internationals in Barcelona, Spain and a Master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths University in London, UK.
